In light of the Tour de France, a few cool things to check out...

City of Calgary Cycling: www.Calgary.ca and @calgary is looking for volunteers to help plan the future of cycling in Calgary: Learn about it here. I’d volunteer, but I can’t make the first meeting (of three), which means I would be an asset worth all of 66.6%. Tour de France has some pretty awesome Canadian contendors: Michael Barry – Team Sky Ryder Hesjedal – Team Garmin Ryder is absolutely representing the Canadian contingents at this year’s tour (currently sitting 6th overall), even though there’s only two. Extra props for being on the team who is known for their argyle jerseys. I want one. 27b/6: and @27bslash6 is a damn good blog to spend a few hours checking out. John's bike is damn, damn, damn funny. Bike Hugger: and @bikehugger A bike-friendly blog, ala Treehugger. I saw DL Byron (I think the D stands for David) speak at this year’s SXSW Interactive Conference. Solid dude with large visions for making this world a bike-friendly place. That's all I got. DW
